METHOD Study visit

During the study visits, organisations present their work processes or occupations

Study visits through Future Makers help to promote young people's career competences and students are introduced to:

  1. how one organisation works or;
  2. what are the professions in this organization.

By introducing students to how one organization works, we want to show how companies and institutions operate and implement their goals.

The purpose of introducing the professions is to provide an overview of the different jobs in this organization so that students' awareness of different occupations grows.

The title of the study visit tells which question the students will receive an answer to during the study visit

Questions such as:

  • How does Swedbank work?
  • What are the offices in Harju County Court?
  • What are the 10 most popular positions in Pipedrive?

YOUR BENEFITS Why go on a study visit?

We contribute to the future of young people

It is difficult for students to find their own way and choose a specialty. No wonder – they have no idea of the world of work. The study visits take them right into the middle of their working lives and help them understand whether the companies they are visiting could be their future employers or rather not.

Two exciting formats for yourself

Study visits take place in two formats: work processes or occupations. The purpose of the study visit "Work Processes" is to introduce students to how the organization works. The purpose of introducing professions is to show at least ten different professions in the company.

Everyone needs a change.

Brain scientist Jaan Aru has said that the brain needs variety to function better. Taking students to another learning environment performs this function. A visit to the company will definitely bring excitement, but above all useful learning moments.

How does it all work Just 6 steps to a study visit

To arrange study visits, we have created a platform that helps to organize visits easily and quickly.

  1. Choose a study visit

See all the invitations to study visits that companies and institutions have added to our system. Is there anything suitable for the eye?

  2. Book a study visit

Once you have found a suitable study visit for your students, book one. After that, we will send you a confirmation letter and the contacts of the contact person of the organization by e-mail. You can send your questions to him in advance, which students would definitely like to see or know.

  3. Prepare

What do your classes already know about the organization you're visiting? How does that relate to what they're learning now? They have questions. Write everything down so that the meeting is as useful and meaningful as possible.

  4. Reminder

We will send you an email reminder about your study visit one day before it takes place.

  5. Day of the study visit

YAY! Finally, that day has come! Ready? Went! P.S. Don't forget to take a picture of the study visit and mark it @tagasikooli when posting it on social media. Be sure to write down what you saw during the study visit and how it went. You can also send a picture and a few lines of text to helena @tulevikutegijad.ee

  6. Feedback

After the study visit, we will send you a feedback questionnaire. Thank you for helping us streamline the organisation of study visits!
